Michael Knowles has produced six feature length films since 2009. The drama Away starring Timothy Spall and Juno Temple is set for a US Netflix release in 2018 and the mystery/ horror The Messenger starring Robert Sheehan, Lily Cole and Joely Richardson was released through Metrodome in the UK autumn 2015. Michael’s previous producing projects include Birthday, starring Stephen Mangan, written by playwright Joe Penhall (The Road) that aired on Sky Arts in 2015 to great reviews and won the FIPA d’Or at the 2016 Festival International de Programmes Audiovisuels (FIPA); Best Laid Plans starring Stephen Graham and Maxine Peake was released through Sony Pictures in 2012 and 2009’s A Boy Called Dad starring Ian Hart was selected for the Edinburgh Film Festival and was bought by the BBC.

Michael is proud to acknowledge his early mentorship from Andrew Eaton through the UK’s Guiding Lights scheme and is grateful to have had the opportunity to work with actor Pete Postlethwaite on one of his last films, a short Michael produced called Waving at Trains. Michael was nominated for a BAFTA for the short ‘Talking with Angels’.

Ray Boucher has worked in financial services for more than 20 years, initially for a high street bank providing financial solutions to High Net Worth clients. In 2000 Ray set up his own firm of Independent Financial Advisers and became Platinum (SRI) Financial Services to concentrate on Socially Responsible Investments for both retail and corporate clients. Ray started his journey in film funding and finance with “A Boy Called Dad” and was very pleased and proud to be involved with a project that created a quality British Film. This was about 6 years ago and since then has been able to supported Michael Knowles in several film projects, eventually to become co director of Now-Films. Ray’s role is to support Now-Films in the raising of investment capital from Private Equity investors via the use of appropriate investment vehicles. Platinum (SRI) Financial Services is directly regulated by the Financial Services Authority number 478064.

James Blakeborough
James has 20 years experience as a creative in the advertising industry, operating over a wide range of mediums from print right through to web and video. Seven years ago hes started his own company Only a Northern Soul and has produced work for the likes of UEFA, M&S, Everton FC, Clarks, Santander and the British Council. James has worked with Michael for the last 15 years. He has always had an interest in film and been involved with filmmakers and the like throughout this time. Whether that be producing key art or pre and post production creative work, for International film festivals, short films, screenwriters, feature films and internationally renowned producers and directors.
